Biopulsonics
is a company formed for the purpose of conducting the research and
development of vibroacoustic technology. Mr. Dorian Bowen, the Founder of
Biopulsonics, has over twenty five years of experience in designing and building
sound systems.
The
vibroacoustic sound chairs and sound beds being used by Sound for Healing
Institute are specially designed to emit low frequency sound. The dynamic
frequency range for these transducers is 1 Hz to 30 kHz, with a combined power
of up to 1000 watts. This does not translate well to volume, however, because
the low frequencies are below the ears ability to hear them. The transducers are
placed within the sound chair or bed to maximize therapeutic benefit for the
most commonly reported physical symptoms. The chairs are designed to achieve a
“zero gravity” effect, which also enhances the physiological response.
Biopulsonics also offers small hand-held pulsars which are placed at strategic
locations on the body to maximize the vibroacoustic effect.

At the
present time, the vibroacoustic therapy chairs used by the Sound for Healing
Institute are only available to the therapeutic/medical community. Smaller
vibroacoustic systems, however, will soon be available for home use.
