Sound For Healing Institute
was founded and is currently led by Dr. Donna R. B. Rogers who began
exploring SFH technologies through her combined passions for
therapeutic change and music. She has been in practice as a licensed
psychologist for six years, and as a licensed marriage and family
therapist for nearly ten.
Through her years of practice,
Dr. Rogers has helped many people improve their quality of living
through traditional counseling methods, but she has also recognized
how powerful barriers to change often prevented or delayed client
progress. She began investigating alternative mind-body therapies,
and found considerable research support for the efficacy of
relaxation, psycho-education, and sound frequency therapy in treating
various disorders.
Building upon that research, she developed the current Sound For
Healing program, which she continues to expand and improve. Dr.
Rogers leads a team of trained counselors who administer the SFH
treatment. The team includes Ph.D. and Masters level professionals.
Dr. Rogers closely supervises the treatment process, which typically
occurs in conjunction with on-going sessions of traditional
psychotherapy.

Kim
Rogers is currently a Research Chemist at the U.S. EPA National
Exposure Research Laboratory in Las Vegas.
Dr. Rogers received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Utah State
University. He has edited 3 books in the areas of biochemistry and
biosensors, and published over 75 scientific papers. He was the
recipient of the American Chemical Society
/
Environmental Protection Agency “Distinguished
Scientist of the Year” award in 1996 for his excellence in research.
His current research interests include: biosensors, biofeedback, and
the physiological response to vibro-acoustic and binaural frequencies.
Dr. Rogers assists the Sound
for Healing Institute through his objective review and understanding
of the research literature related to vibro-acoustics, binaural
frequencies, and their bio-medical affects on the brain. In addition,
he provides valuable technical assistance in the vibro-acoustic
instrumentation, and the production of the soundscape backgrounds for
the guided imagery recordings.
